Weight calculator
Use our Titanium weight calculator Free to get accurate weight estimates for bars, plates, sheets, tubes, and discs of titanium in seconds. This tool is optimized for engineers, industrial buyers, and machining shops that need to quickly calculate shipping loads and material costs.
How to calculate the weight of titanium and its alloys?
Titanium is known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The standard density of commercially pure titanium (such as Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, and Grade 4) is approximately 4.51 g/cm³. For alloys such as Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), the density is slightly lower, at around 4.43 g/cm³.
Our tool automatically calculates the volume based on the geometry of the part (round, rectangular or tubular) and multiplies it by the specific density of the selected grade under international specifications. ASTM and EN/UNS standards.
Mathematical formulas for calculating weight
- Chapas and Rectangular Plates: Peso = Length × Width × Thickness × Density
- Round Bars and Cylinders: Peso = π × (Diameter / 2)² × Length × Density
- Round Tubes: Peso = π × (Outside Diameter – Thickness) × Thickness × Length × Density
